The Sikh Calendar

The entire Sikh history including the times during our Ten Guru's is recorded on the Bikarmi Calendar. It is evident from the written history that the important dates in Sikh History is directly based on Bikarmi Calendar therefore it will the most appropriate to reflect and derive the Gurpurab dates from the same calendar which we have been following all through since the Perkash of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in year 1469 and after Guru Gobind Singh Ji year 1708. It has been 547 years since then.
